My first time at SALT. was everything I imagined and more. Although I did not try the tasting menu, my boyfriend did. I had a bite of each part of his 7 course meal. The Truffle Gnocchi was to DIE FOR! I almost cried taking a bite, for real. I know this is quite the fancy place, but I literally had to lick the plate it was just that good. And it wasn’t even my plate! My food was delicious as well (especially the brussel sprouts and the ceviche, that hibiscus tostada was immaculate) but I will never stop talking about the truffle gnocchi! If they ever put it on the menu as a regular plate, I will definitely become a very regular regular. The drinks were amazing. The wine tasting won me over. I had to order a glass of the brut because it was just that good. 100% will be back in the future. I promise you, this place is very much worth it. The atmosphere, the service, the food. Worth every penny

Food was absolutely divine. The most perfect and delicate blend of flavors in Rockford that I have only found here at Salt. The service was wonderful and prompt, the atmosphere was lovely and well manicured. Highly recommend eating here if you want the best flavors Rockford has to offer.

First visit here and enjoyed our dinner experience. Interior is lovely and tables spaced out enough for a private feeling. Ordered a charcuterie plate for app, and it was a generous plate. The selection of main plates was somewhat limited BUT we knew this restaurant focuses on its food instead of trying to offer everything to everyone. My filet mignon was cooked perfectly and enhanced with chimichurri (the sauces were amazing all around the table). Other highlights friend Brussels sprouts and our desserts - service was attentive and she allowed us to space out our meal instead of hustling us through. Really appreciated the service all around - staff is friendly and helpful. Great night out.

My husband and I did the 7 course Valentines Day tasting menu and absolutely everything was delicious. Service was incredible and they always made sure we had water and we're comfortable. Definitely coming back to explore more of what the regular menu has to offer!

An all-around amazing experience! SALT participated in the Vegan Chef Challenge in Rockford and introduced special vegan dishes for the month. I had all three courses—Tofu Ssam, Chile Relleno, and Coconut Creme Brulee—and each one was absolutely on point in both flavor and texture. They truly made my creme brulee dreams come true—I had never had it before going vegan! I’m so grateful for restaurants that put this much thought and creativity into their plant-based offerings. Also Howard gave our group of 8 excellent service!

I cannot say enough good things. Yes, it was expensive BUT everything was top shelf. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Very accommodating and attentive. If the weather is right, I also recommend eating on the patio. Such a pleasant, hidden gem of a spot. The bar and the bar service were amazing. Oh, and the food was EXCELLENT! The pork chop was perfection on a plate. The pasta dish was outstanding, fresh and perfectly prepared.I truly believe a place like this is more of an experience and we had a great one!

We had a fantastic time for New Year's Eve! Marty was an excellent waiter and the food was amazing! The service was perfect from the moment you walk in the door.
